Job Description:
Position: Network Support Technician
Location: Los Angeles, CA 90095
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-5 (no on-call requirement)
Duration: 6-month contract
Pay rate: $50 - $60 per hour
Job Description:
The Network Engineer will support network migrations under the guidance of Network senior staff. Responsibilities include network documentation, hardware refresh, and assisting in IT infrastructure improvement projects.
Objectives:
- Provide on-site network support in line with IT policies.
- Resolve network hardware and software issues.
- Communicate effectively with network staff.
- Maintain and analyze switches and routers.
- Coordinate hardware repairs with vendors.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience with Network Migration and Refresh Projects.
- Experience in MDFs and IDFs for decommissioning and installing network hardware.
- Proficiency with Cisco Network switches and routers.
- Familiarity with Palo Alto and Infoblox.
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS and NX-OS, Cisco Catalyst Center, Cisco Prime, Palo Alto Panorama, Windows 10 and 11, Apple OS, and Linux.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a technical field preferred.
- Ability to provide on-site technical services with a friendly demeanor.
- Support end-user devices and ensure network connectivity.
- Contribute to IT security initiatives by following best practices.
