The Role
The Senior Manager, Alternatives Strategy will support the Vice President, Alternatives Strategy in driving Asset Management's process for alts business cases to inform the prioritization / sequencing of alts initiatives. Specifically, this individual will play a critical role in creating alts business cases, owning our Sharepoint strategy, and supporting alts strategy project work. Their responsibilities will include:
- Creating alts business cases, specifically focused on identifying the market opportunity, competitive landscape, target client segments and Fidelity's strategic rationale and approach, to support executive discussions and decision-making
- Collaborating cross functionally with Alts Product, Finance, Infrastructure/Operations, and other teams to ensure business cases are comprehensive
- Driving our Sharepoint engagement and strategy, ensuring our business partners have visibility across the alts prioritization program and that it includes the latest business proposals, meeting materials, and key takeaways/next steps
- Supporting the VP, Alts Strategy on other alts strategy project work
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 3-5 plus years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, or investment product
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including an ability to independently structure problems, perform analysis, and communicate findings
- Deep interest and curiosity in the asset management industry, particularly alternative investments
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams and work effectively with senior stakeholders
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint, Excel and Sharepoint
The Team
Asset Management Strategy and Planning is responsible for defining and communicating Asset Management's business unit strategy, as well as helping to implement our strategic plan and top priorities. Specifically, the Alts Strategy team is focused on driving our alts prioritization / sequencing process and alts strategy initiatives to grow and scale our alts business. The team interacts frequently with leaders across the business, including the CFO of Asset Management, the Head of Asset Management Product, and other members of the AM Senior Leadership team.
The base salary range for this position is $89,000-$180,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
