Physician Assistant

  • Large, primary care office
  • Full-Time
  • Exempt
  • $90,000 - $130,000 annually

Physician Assistant Benefits:

  • Annual performance review, performance-based merit increase
  • Additional supplemental compensation available
  • CME allowance
  • Malpractice insurance, licensing fees, registration, and DEA fees paid by the practice.
  • Health, dental and vision benefits availablewith coverage effective the first of the month following date of hire

  • $1,000 annual employer HSA contribution for employeesenrolled in CNYFC high deductible health plan
  • Free office visits with NP or PA employees who are patients of the practice and enrolled in CNYFC high deductible health plan

  • 401K after six months with up to 7% combined employer match and annual discretionary profit-sharing contribution

We are a Primary Care practice and a Patient Centered Medical Home, who takes a team-based approach to medicine. Our Physician Assistants have ready access and ability to precept cases with our Physicians in a supportive environment.

Physician Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Provide and coordinate health care services to patients and their families
  • Promote maintenance of health, prevention of illness and stability
  • Providecare during acute and chronic phases of illness
  • Guide and counselindividuals and families
  • Referral patients toother health care providers as appropriate
  • Record and update patient EMR in accordance with HIPAA and practice standards and procedures

Physician AssistantQualifications:

  • Current, certified NYS Physician Assistant license
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in a family practice or Urgent Care setting is desired (not required)
  • Previous experience working with Medent (EMR) is a plus
  • Excellent working knowledge of chronic disease states and possess critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
