Every team member plays a vital part in this student-centered, mission-driven work, fostering an environment where creativity, artistic expression, and cultural diversity thrive.

The Concert Operations team is seeking a collaborative Part Time House Manager (17.5 hours/week). Reporting to the Associate Director of Front of House Operations, this hybrid role splits time between remote administrative planning (40%) and lively on-site event execution (60%). It is the perfect opportunity for an organized theater professional who loves live performances and thrives in a student-centered environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support: Build detailed show info sheets, manage ticketing scanners, coordinate student usher event schedules, and evaluate front-of-house procedures to suggest creative process improvements.

  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise and guide the student usher staff on a per-show basis, fostering a supportive, inclusive, and professional growth environment for student workers.

  • Accessibility & Safety: Coordinate venue accessibility layouts for patrons, ensure compliance with ADA standards, manage facility safety regulations, and safely secure facilities before and after events.

Required Qualifications:

  • Three to five years of experience in a guest experience or front-of-house role within a performing arts or theater environment, including some supervisory experience.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a high level of diplomacy when interacting with touring personnel, promoters, and the public.

  • Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to remain calm, focused, and solution-oriented under pressure.

  • Tech-savviness, with proficiency in Google Suite/Microsoft Office and a strong interest in learning event systems (such as Smartsheet, Etix, FileMaker, or When-to-Work).

  • Absolute flexibility to work a seasonal schedule consisting of nights, weekends, and holidays dictated by the college’s exciting academic performance calendar.

Culture and Benefits: Berklee fosters a vibrant, inclusive workplace that celebrates multiple perspectives and honors work-life balance. This position offers a highly supportive environment alongside a robust partial benefits package designed to support holistic well-being and professional growth. Admin hours can easily be performed from home when on-site tools are not required.
