Location: Remote OK, but in-person welcomed for Kansas Ciry, Austin, ST Louis, Chicago, Madison
Duration: Late May - Mid November
Hours per week: 40
Pay Range: $25-$35 per hour based on experiene
Role Overview
Our client, an Am Law top-100 ranked law firm, is seeking a Business Development Coordinator to support marketing and business development initiatives for a long term freelance assignment. This role works closely with the Business Development Manager and colleagues within the Business Development, Marketing, and Communications (BDMC) team, as well as cross-functional partners.
The ideal candidate brings strong writing, organization, and collaboration skills, along with experience in a professional services or law firm environment. This role will support their Life Sciences/Pharmaceuticals line of business so any regulated industry experience directly (or adjacently) tied to this will be helpful for your candidacy!
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development and Marketing Support
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of assigned attorneys, client base, experience, and market capabilities
- Collaborate with BDMC colleagues and cross-functional teams to support business development and marketing initiatives
- Provide general support on marketing and business development projects as needed
- Content Development and Review
- Draft client-facing and internal marketing materials, including:
- Pitches and proposals
- Presentations
- Attorney biographies
- Informational and practice group materials
- Proofread materials for accuracy, clarity, consistency, and brand compliance
- Draft client-facing and internal marketing materials, including:
- Internal Communications and Visibility
- Partner with Internal Communications to promote attorney and team visibility, including:
- Successes and recognitions
- Speaking engagements
- Conference participation
- Partner with Internal Communications to promote attorney and team visibility, including:
- Database Management and Reporting
- Assist with maintaining business development databases, including:
- RFP and pitch databases
- Case studies and representative matters
- Budget requests and ROI tracking
- Support reporting and tracking of return on investment for BD initiatives
- Maintain accurate, well-organized records
- Assist with maintaining business development databases, including:
- Events, Outreach, and Mailing Lists
- Create targeted mailing lists for events, webinars, and outreach campaigns
- Coordinate attorney participation in:
- Professional organizations
- Conferences and industry events
- Sponsorships

- 2+ years of relevant experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment
- Strong writing and proofreading skills, particularly for:
- Pitches and proposals
- Presentations
- Research and business intelligence materials
