Material Handler IV

Location: San Diego, CA On-site

Schedule: 1st Shift 7am-3pm

Pay: $23 an hour on W2

Duration: 12-month contract with strong potential for conversion

Overview

We’re seeking an experienced Material Handler IV to take on a more advanced, analytical role in materials operations. This position goes beyond transactional work and requires strong problem-solving, inventory accuracy ownership, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage inventory movement including receiving, stocking, staging, and production support
  • Perform cycle counts (A/B/C), reconcile discrepancies, and drive inventory accuracy
  • Investigate variances across SAP, reports, and system data; perform root cause analysis
  • Generate part lists, validate inventory, and prepare justification for adjustments
  • Process manufacturing orders and maintain accurate system transactions
  • Support packaging and shipment of completed tools when needed
  • Partner with buyers, production, and engineering teams to resolve material issues
  • Contribute to process improvements and material flow optimization
What We’re Looking For
  • 4–5+ years of experience in a warehouse or materials environment (component-level experience preferred)
  • Strong SAP experience with working knowledge of warehouse transactions
  • Proven ability to analyze discrepancies and perform root cause investigation
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and general business systems
  • Strong communication skills across teams (email, in-person, Teams)
  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage high volumes of inventory and data
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Reliable, accountable, and proactive in resolving issues
Nice to Have
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in semiconductor or manufacturing environments
  • Prior leadership or ownership of inventory processes
