Join the maintenance services team as a data intern on an exciting initiative focusing on maintenance data analysis, reporting and communication. This position can be full-time or part-time with a projected start date of November 1.

What you will learn:

  • Data Analysis:

    • Update existing training completion reporting and create new reporting tools to optimize scheduling or maintenance training for highway maintenance staff for upcoming 6-month period.

    • Work with the maintenance training program, region compliance trainers and region safety managers to determine training needs/trends and draft training schedules for various types of ODOT and contractor delivered training.

    • Review winter maintenance data to establish performance measures and assess measures during the 2024-25 winter season.

  • Data Reporting and Communication:

    • Create Power BI reporting dashboards to improve communication of existing data for tort and claim databases and for the municipal separate storm sewer system (MS4) inspection data. Work with data users to ensure reporting meets current and future needs.

    • Use dashboards to prepare reports for responding to legislative requests.

    • Work with condition of maintenance survey team and hydraulic engineering section to compile water quality feature condition data for MS4 annual reporting.
