Title: Associate Lead Analyst 1

Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007

Duties: Analyze the credit aspects of structured finance transactions, including analysis of the underlying assets, transaction structure, legal documents, and deal-level financial modeling to formulate and substantiate independent credit opinions to assign ratings. Monitor financial industry conditions and trends, present transactions, and their analysis to rating committees, and identify and write accurate and relevant credit research. Contribute to various special research projects, develop in-depth knowledge of the asset class, and pursue thought leadership initiatives to enhance our analytics, outreach, and research impact. Gain exposure to ESG credit analytics and assist with process enhancement initiatives. Develop working knowledge of Moody's methodologies to apply to various analyses, demonstrate the ability to understand and identify key factors that affect credit ratings. Communicate credit knowledge and rationale and develop and maintain an understanding of financial industry trends and issues. Monitor existing transactions, tracking performance, trends, and emerging risks. Conduct periodic reviews and updates of ratings based on new data, market developments, and transaction performance.

Requirements: Requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Analytics, or a related quantitative field plus two (2) years of experience as an Analyst or in a related position performing quantitative analysis. Must have experience with the following: conducting quantitative financial modeling and statistical analysis; analyzing credit impact of macro-economic events; presenting credit analyses; analyzing deal documents and authoring credit opinions, issuer analyses, or internal research memos; applying knowledge of capital markets and structures; and reviewing legal documents, including indentures or loan documents.

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $118,248 to $173,100/yr, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
