ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT - Legal Team (Transactional & Regulatory Teams) Please Note: As per current corporate policy, you will be required to be IN THE OFFICE at Georgia Power Company corporate headquarters, located at 241 Ralph McGill Blvd, Atlanta, GA, a minimum of four days per week (currently, Mon/Tues/Wed/Thur.) ** This position will require occasional availability & responsiveness outside of normal business hours. Please Note: **** There are two (2) mandatory assessments you must successfully pass after applying prior to your information being reviewed by the hiring management team. Both Assessments will be automatically sent to you via email. -- The 1st will be sent when you apply. --The 2nd will be sent to you if/when you successfully pass the 1st. ** Both must be completed immediately/within certain time frames. JOB SUMMARY This position reports to the Regulatory Associate General Counsel and provides administrative support to the Regulatory Legal Team and the Transactional Legal Team of the Georgia Power Company Legal Department. This role requires a proactive, highly organized professional who can anticipate needs, build strong relationships, and ensure day-to-day operations run efficiently. Responsibilities include calendar and meeting management through Outlook, processing expense reports, timekeeping, conference room management, coordinating department events and onboarding activities, and performing other administrative duties as needed. This position requires the ability to interact professionally and effectively with attorneys, internal clients, business partners, outside counsel, and vendors. The successful candidate must demonstrate professionalism, excellent customer service, attention to detail, strong multitasking skills, and proficiency with office technology. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Regulatory and Transactional Legal Teams, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and consistent support across both practice areas. Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate appointments for attorneys and team members, including resolving scheduling conflicts. Coordinate conference room reservations and meeting logistics, including catering, materials preparation, and technology support. Assist with planning and coordinating department meetings, events, training sessions, and onboarding activities. Coordinate purchasing card activities, review and reconcile expenses, and enter transactions into Oracle for payment processing in accordance with company policies. Process and maintain employee timekeeping records for members of the Regulatory and Transactional Legal Teams. Prepare, edit, format, and distribute correspondence, presentations, reports, and other business documents. Serve as a professional point of contact for internal clients, business partners, outside counsel, vendors, and other stakeholders. Coordinate travel arrangements and related logistics as needed. Answer and route telephone calls, emails, and visitor inquiries in a professional and timely manner. Establish, maintain, and organize electronic and paper files in compliance with company policies, records retention requirements, and legal department procedures. Compile, organize, and safeguard confidential legal documents, sensitive information, and department records with a high degree of discretion. Coordinate with Information Technology, Facilities, Security, and other internal support organizations to address departmental needs and support team operations. Order, track, and maintain office supplies, equipment, and workspace needs for existing and new employees. Monitor common work areas to ensure supplies, equipment, and resources are adequately maintained and available. Prepare and update PowerPoint presentations, spreadsheets, and other business materials as requested by attorneys and department leadership. Assist with special projects and perform other administrative duties in support of the Legal Department. Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes, enhance efficiency, and support the overall effectiveness of the Regulatory and Transactional Legal Teams QUALIFICATIONS HS Diploma (Minimum) with 3+ years’ experience or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Office Administration, or other relevant field is required Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) with the International Association of Administrative Professions (IAAP) or similar certification is preferred, but not required High ethical standards and behaviors Ability to time-manage and complete multiple high-priority projects and activities with strict time-sensitive and competing deadlines in a flexible, organized, and dependable manner with little direction Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills Excellent judgment and demonstrated ability to handle business and information with a high degree of discretion, confidentiality and diplomacy Ability to be self-directed and take a proactive approach to everyday responsibilities Strong focus on inclusion, innovative thinking, practical solutions, and providing excellent client service Able to work autonomously and in a team environment as appropriate Strong aptitude for technology and computer proficiency in the use of MS Office suite of applications, document management, time entry, e-filing and database software Keen sense of responsibility in managing others’ schedules Occasional travel is required Disclaimer: This information describes the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this job.
