WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

As a Diagnostic manufacturing Assistant, you will perform the functions related to the manufacturing process of reagents, for our Diagnostic Manufacturing Division (DMD), and will perform support functions related to the manufacturing process. Operates and maintains manufacturing equipment, such as autoclave, and clean room equipment. You will perform basic parameter and chemical tests of internally utilized solutions/reagents to ensure viability, and may will provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the manufacture of a variety of diagnostic reagents/solutions and
    medical devices to meet assigned standards and production deadlines.
  • Typically performs activities directly related to production: verification of
    ingredients, aseptic filling, freeze-drying, labeling, and packaging.
  • May perform parameter testing and chemical assays required during the
    manufacture of various products.
  • Maintains manufacturing records and associated documentation to comply with
    regulatory requirements, Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating

Standard Schedule:

Monday through Friday 8am to 4:30pm

Pay Information: $26-30 hour, DOE

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: High School or equivalent required, Associates in Science, Bachelors of science in biology or related science is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Must have experience in a regulated environment; FDA experience is a plus
  • Ability to work on a team and operate computer programs, including Outlook, and Microsoft Office

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
