Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Traveling Supplier Quality (SNQ) Consultant for our client based in Kings Mountain, NC.
This assignment is anticipated to be a 6 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality of parts supplied to the plant by conducting thorough inspections and audits.
- Oversee the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance part quality and supplier performance.
- Conduct regular audits of suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards and identify areas for improvement.
- Travel to various suppliers of the plant to align part quality and manage the PPAP process.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve quality issues and ensure continuous improvement.
- 5+ years of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer, with strong expertise in APQP, PPAP, and process audit and improvement.
- Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies and tools. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.
- Willingness to travel to supplier locations as required.
