Job Title:IT Project Management Office (PMO) ConsultantPay Rate:$60/hour
Location:Torrance, CA (Hybrid)Job DescriptionOur client is seeking a skilledIT PMO Consultantto provide operational and strategic project management support. The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing, implementing, and maintaining PMO processes and tools to enhance IT project standardization and governance.Daily Responsibilities
- Operational PMO Support:Provide ongoing PMO operational support, ensuring process consistency and efficiency.
- Guidelines and Templates:Develop IT project management guidelines and templates to standardize project processes across the IT CF and Division.
- Project Compliance:Review projects for adherence to established processes, including J-Flow, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Program/Project Management Updates:Support or deliver updates in key project management areas such as:
- Roles and Responsibilities (RACI)
- PMO Activity Checklists
- Financial Management:
- Weekly Financials
- Monthly Financials
- Forecast Event Financials
- Resource Management/Loading
- Project Estimation Process
- Weekly Status Reporting
- Project Governance (Daily, Weekly, Monthly, etc.)
- Experience in IT PMO governance, PMO process management, and related subject matter expertise.
- Background in IT project management with PMP certification preferred.
- Strong IT project financial management experience.
- Ability to identify process gaps and areas for improvement.
- Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proactive work ethic and ability to work independently.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to engage with leadership at all levels, including project leads, IT teams, and business departments.
- Experience working with tools such as Clarity PPM, Microsoft Office 365 suite, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
- Familiarity with DevOps collaboration platforms such as Microsoft Azure DevOps or Jira.
- Excellent communication skills.
