JOB DESCRIPTION:
This tech is responsible for performing customer support activities involving the installation, modification, and repair of complex equipment and systems. Conducts on-site installation and testing of equipment to ensure proper working order. Isolates equipment start-up malfunctions and takes corrective action. Prepares daily logs and reports work performed. (It should be understood that this is not intended to be a detailed nor comprehensive description of any individual employees job content. Managers set the specific duties and responsibilities for each employee.)
SCOPE:
Performs predetermined work assignments with detailed instructions. Follows established guidelines, procedures and policies.
PROBLEM COMPLEXITY:
Works on assignments that are routine in nature where limited judgment is required.
IMPACT:
Contributions are usually limited to assignment related activities.
LIAISON:
Interacts daily with supervisor, peer groups, and customers.
FREEDOM TO ACT: Work is closely managed. Follows specific, outlined, and detailed procedures.
LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITY: Ability to use common sense to carry out basic instructions and activities.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school education or equivalent and to 4 years of related experience.
