RCO is looking for an experienced Corporate Purchasing Director to oversee the Purchasing functions and activities for the various manufacturing and business segments of RCO. This in-person role is located at our manufacturing campus in Roseville Michigan and reports to the CFO and Executive Committee. This is a great opportunity for a well-qualified batch production Raw Materials Purchasing Management professional with director level experience who is ready grow with our capabilities.  While we will be training this individual to work in the "RCO" way, this position is appropriate only for Candidates that possess most if not all these skills.

Qualifications:            

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management or Purchasing
• 5+ years Purchasing Management
• 10+ years of experience in purchasing function.
• 4+ years purchasing experience in a batch production manufacturing environment.
• Leadership and organizational training.                        
• Practical knowledge of ERP systems. Epicor experience is a plus.

Tasks Needed to Perform:

• Develop and implement purchasing team strategies.                        
• Effectively manage the Purchasing professional staff.                        
• Purchase of a broad range of goods and services to support all current and future growth.
• Partner with RCO stakeholders to ensure clear purchasing requirements.                      
• Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
• Prepare various reports for management review of department activities.
• Perform cost and situational analysis, to include benchmarking.                        
• Participate as lead for procurement team for internal/external audits.                        
• Establish, implement and maintain supplier performance analysis process.
• Handle employee issues, such as discipline.                        
• Perform Buyer duties as needed.            
• Support compliance with RCO Quality Policies.                        
• Support corporate continuous improvement initiative.                        
• Any other duties as assigned.
