About the Program
Our 12-week PLOT Internship Program gives you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while focusing on a key project. You'll conduct in-depth research, apply your skills, and present your findings directly to leadership. This is more than just an internship—it’s your chance to make a real impact, build industry knowledge, and sharpen your abilities in a dynamic, results-driven environment. Successful completion of the PLOT program can also earn you a scholarship between $1,000 and $3,000!

As a Wilbur-Ellis Human Resources Operations Intern, you’ll gain hands-on experience in HR systems, process improvement, and service center operations while learning different aspects of HR technology and Workday implementation. You’ll play a key role in streamlining HR processes, building resources, and ensuring efficiency in HR operations. This internship offers a chance to share your ideas, contribute to meaningful projects, and make a real impact.
At the end of your internship, you’ll have the opportunity to present your projects, experiences, and recommendations to our leadership team.
What should I bring to the table?
We understand that as an intern, you may not have years of experience under your belt – and that’s okay! We’re looking for a college student majoring in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Ag Business, Agriculture, or a related field. An interest in HR operations, process improvement, and HR technology is a huge plus!
The ideal candidate will have:
Strong analytical & problem-solving skills - ability to evaluate processes and identify areas of improvement.
Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal, with confidence in presenting ideas.
Attention to detail - ability to track and document processes effectively.
Organization & time management - ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Interest in HR technology - excited to learn about HR information systems like Workday.
Self-starter mindset - willingness to take initiative and contribute ideas.

What will I be working on?
Your internship will focus on HR Operations & Process Improvement, including:
Workday Process Improvement - Support the optimization of Workday by identifying ways to improve HR workflows.
People & Culture Service Center Enhancement - Help refine processes to improve efficiency and employee experience.
Knowledge Base Development - Create and organize resources for the Human Resources Service Center, ensuring HR information is easily accessible. Partner with HRIS Team to support and communicate incoming employee requests.
HRIS Exposure & Support - Gain hands-on experience in Workday and HR systems, learning how data and technology drive HR Operations.

Compensation and Benefits:
In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $18 to $26 per hour.
