Based remotely, and reporting to the Senior Vice President, Global Logistics, the Senior Project Manager, Global Operations is responsible for leading assigned high impact cross functional projects and programs to deliver on time and on budget.
Responsibilities:
- Develop project scope documents and enroll assigned team members for assigned high impact projects – including clear outcomes, objectives, and targets
- Define aggressive, yet achievable, baseline plan working with project team (scope, schedule, budgets, resources, improvement/savings targets and/or ROI)
- Define risks, mitigation plans, and pre-align team/leadership on actions to be taken if risk event occurs
- Ensure controls are in place to ensure project is delivered on time, on budget and that it delivers on impact expected (e.g. service improvement, cost savings)
- Provide critical thinking, based on experience, and challenge project teams and leadership on assumptions to improve plans and delivery
- Manage across interdependencies to ensure speed to delivery at lowest risk
- Develop and lead communication with Executive sponsors, senior leaders, and extended stakeholders for assigned projects – includes program status, issues, risks, and mitigation plans
- May also perform additional duties as assigned
Professional Experience and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Project Manager with experience in organizations known for world-class supply chain programs. S/he will have at least 8 years of experience in Industry, with strong experience leading cross functional teams to deliver on high impact projects. This Sr. Project Manager must be a proactive, action-oriented leader with the ability to identify risk, influence cross functional team members, and communicate for impact to deliver projects on time and on budget.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain functions
- Demonstrated progressive project leadership experience
- Ability to set aggressive, yet achievable, timelines and targets for cross functional teams
- Ability to hold cross functional team members accountable to deliver on commitments/expectations
- Proven track record of anticipating and mitigating potential risks within projects and programs
- Strong business and financial acumen with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to risk management
- Ability to analyze data to inform project plans
- Exposure and understanding of global supply chain dynamics and considerations
- Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio required
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- English fluency required. Other languages helpful
- CPG background preferred
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Advanced degree highly preferred
Education:
Academic credentials should include an undergraduate degree, ideally in a discipline relevant to supply chain, such as Supply Chain Management or Engineering. A master’s degree in business administration or technical discipline, while not required, will further differentiate the ideal candidate.
