Based on experience and qualifications, the pay range for this position is $56,350 - $77,395 annually.
This role will report to our Windsor, CT Office.
What You'll Do:
Document and maintain customer information and forms necessary for policies and/or policy changes in various systems. Handle the most complex transactions by gathering all necessary data from various sources, updating applicable systems, reviewing output for accuracy and completeness, and ensuring appropriate resolution. Ensure that data and materials meet company standards for compliance, completeness, and quality.
Collaborate with underwriters and agents to prepare new or renewal files for underwriters within an assigned territory, producing risk/exposure reports, compiling information, Compile underwriting electronic records and forms, sales quotes, and/or business contracts. May correspond with customers, underwriters and/or independent agents to gather and verify information or deliver quotes.
Serve as primary point of contact and resource for underwriters, designated producer(s), and/or agents within the territory. Respond to email and phone inquiries and requests from internal and external parties and effectively explain plan details and/or processing requirements.
Respond to internal and external requests for action or information. Asses the request for completeness and adds account information as warranted before resolving or routing to the appropriate team. Document all activities in systems. Produce and delivers standard and custom reports as needed. Complete account cancellations and binds as requested.
Provide general administrative support, which may include, but is not limited to, participating in system upgrades, process improvement projects, and/or quality audits, and assisting with onboarding new associates on the team. May provide direction and support to other regional teams.
May independently manage a small commercial book of business based on a defined scope within the assigned territories. Apply sound underwriting decisions and actions, when granted approval by the underwriter.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned from time to time.
What It Takes:
Work experience or related work experience with commercial lines insurance preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to handle service needs of producers and customer
Working knowledge of PC software applications
Knowledge of Business Products operations and systems
Knowledge of Sentry Insurance and its products is beneficial
