Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Lead Software Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the install, design, implementation, and administration of the IBM Sterling Gateway product suite in distributed environments. This role involves configuring secure file transfer solutions, managing business processes, and ensuring seamless integrations with trading partners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, Design, implement, and administer IBM Sterling Gateway product suite.
• Set up and manage file transfer configurations within IBM Sterling Suite.
• Develop Business Processes (BPML) based on customer requirements.
• Manage Sterling File Gateway (SFG) by creating and maintaining objects such as Channels, Templates, and Trading Partners.
• Oversee and troubleshoot networking and communication protocols, including HTTPS, AS2, SFTP, FTPS, and Connect:Direct, ensuring compliance with security best practices.
• Handle security configurations, including certificates and encryption keys.
• Work with IBM Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP) and IBM Control Center to monitor and optimize file transfer performance.
• Manage IBM Global Mailbox for high-availability and disaster recovery scenarios.
• Utilize basic SQL skills (Oracle/MS Access) for database queries and troubleshooting.
Required Qualifications:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG), IBM Sterling Secure Proxy (SSP), and IBM Control Center.
• Expertise in BPML scripting for business process automation.
• Strong understanding of networking and security protocols related to file transfer.
• Basic proficiency in SQL (Oracle/MS Access) for querying and data analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with IBM Global Mailbox for high-availability configurations.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies.
• Knowledge of IBM Sterling PEM (Partner Engagement Manager) and SEAS (Secure External Authentication Server).
