Job Purpose
The Pressure Regulation Engineering Group is committed to developing and implementing strategic plans for managing the pressure regulating facilities, pipeline heaters, and system automation equipment throughout the MA service territories. We sponsor and execute a risk-based capital program to replace or rebuild stations, heaters, and telemetry equipment. We also provide engineering excellence in planning, scoping, and selecting technology-based solutions to extend the life and enhance the reliability of these critical assets.
Key Accountabilities
- Ensure that risks for Pressure Regulation assets are being identified and addressed
- Deliver informed, authoritative technical asset plans for maintenance and capital investment in order to improve business performance in the medium term (up to five years), including accurate high-level estimates
- Translate pressure regulation infrastructure requirements into clearly defined business cases, budgets, and an assessment of the impact on rate case development and risks to facilitate the planning process and develop strategies to mitigate risk
- Carry out significant field work and investigation to evaluate asset conditions and workclosely with Instrumentationand Regulation (I&R) in the development of the asset management programs
- Plan, manage and work with Project Engineering and l&R to implement pressure regulating facilities to maintain a reliable network and ensure potential hazards are managed safely and effectively
Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience Required
- Project Management experience managing against fixed timescales and budgets.
- Stakeholder Management experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders (both internal and external).
Qualifications
* ABET accredited Bachelor of Science Degree in an Engineering discipline is required
* 6+ years of experience in an engineering role or gas industry experience is required
* Strong collaboration, time management, and computer skills required
* Valid driver's license is required
* EIT (Engineer-In-Training) certification or Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred
* Previous gas transmission and distribution planning experience utilizing Synergi hydraulic software, or similar, is preferred
.Proven ability to work independently with minimal management direction for all projects and groups of projects
