Job Description

The Business Initiatives Office of our company's Animal Health, within the US Companion Animal Business Unit, is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Initiatives Program Manager to lead cross-functional programs and initiatives that support the business unit's goals.

Position Summary

This role requires a candidate with solid experience in project management, business process improvement, and stakeholder engagement. Sr. Business Initiative Program Manager will report to the Business Initiatives Office Lead and will help transform business unit's strategies and goals into actionable programs and driving their execution to achieve measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage high-impact business initiatives and programs, ensuring they are executed effectively and efficiently.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define program scope, objectives, success criteria, and deliverables.

  • Break down long-term strategic initiatives into manageable projects, ensuring seamless integration with business units.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across various departments (e.g., finance, marketing, operations, IT) to ensure smooth program execution.

  • Serve as the primary contact between business units and program executive sponsors regarding program updates and execution progress.

  • Conduct detailed business analyses to identify growth opportunities, enhance efficiency, and drive improvements.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure program success and drive business impact.

  • Monitor and report on strategic initiatives' progress, offering data-driven recommendations for adjustments or enhancements.

  • Lead change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of new initiatives throughout the organization.

  • Maintain clear communication channels to inform stakeholders about program progress, risks, and achievements.

  • Identify potential risks or obstacles impacting program delivery, devising risk mitigation strategies.

  • Proactively address and resolve issues to keep the program on track for success.

  • Manage program budgets efficiently, aligning resources with financial objectives.

  • Allocate resources effectively across multiple projects to meet business needs.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems management or business administration.

  • Over five years of experience in project and program management or related fields, with successful product or business initiative implementations.

  • Training or certifications in Product Management, Project Management, Agile Methodologies or other relevant areas.

  • Proven track record of managing large-scale programs influencing business strategy and operational execution.

  • Experience and understanding of Animal Health business strategy and market dynamics is a strong plus.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple initiatives simultaneously.

  • Exceptional skills in leadership, change management, and business analysis.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing abilities.

  • Analytical mindset with experience using data for decision-making.

  • Proficiency in program management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira) and data analytics platforms.

  • Demonstrated expertise in leading business initiatives and programs

  • Focused on optimizing resource allocation, adhering to deadlines, and maintaining budgetary discipline.

  • Experience in managing web and eCommerce technologies implementation projects, emphasizing user-centric design for optimal engagement and functionality.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. This Hybrid work model does not apply to, and daily in-person attendance is required for, field-based positions; facility-based, manufacturing-based, or research-based positions where the work to be performed is located at a Company site; positions covered by a collective-bargaining agreement (unless the agreement provides for hybrid work); or any other position for which the Company has determined the job requirements cannot be reasonably met working remotely. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$101,100.00 - $159,100.00
