The Consumer Lending Consultant role is a highly consultative sales opportunity operating in a call center environment. The Lending Consultant will be responsible for handling incoming loan interactions from members, offering beneficial products and services to members, effectively conveying application decisions, providing financial education and an all-around exceptional member experience via the telephone. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, listening, identifying cross-selling opportunities, gathering and analyzing loan documentation, and ensuring the member and department goals and objectives are met. Essential Functions:
Practices safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.
•Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
•Drive call center sales for all Delta Community Credit Union consumer lending product lines to maximize profits, while ensuring customer satisfaction through the call center sales channel.
•Promote current marketing campaigns in order to sell to members accurately and effectively from a call center environment.
•Provide outstanding member service to customers in conjunction with a sales or retention interaction.
•Consistently provide exceptional, accurate, and efficient communication to external/internal members over the phone or preferred delivery channel.
•Discover problems, needs, and opportunities by listening for clues in conversations, asking questions, and researching the member’s account.
•Educate members how to take full advantage of credit union membership by cross-selling ancillary products and services such as GAP, Extend Warranty and Debt Protection.
•Effectively anticipate and resolve member’s escalations and complaints.
•Gather, evaluate, analyze and verify loan documentation and consumer information to ensure accurate loan processing meets proper compliance guidelines.
•Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high volume, stressful environment.
•Work closely with loan officers and loan processors to obtain credit information and coordinate closings to meet the sales goals of the consumer lending function of the credit union.
•Work closely with Leadership to solve complex loan application issues, while maintaining credit union guidelines.

Job Qualifications
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:
•High School Diploma or equivalent.
•2+ years’ experience in Lending or related field.
•Previous sales and cross selling experience.
•Must be available to work a rotating 6-day schedule (Monday - Friday) with hours between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm and from 8:30 am until 1:00 pm on Saturday.
•Must have a tenacious, persuasive, and high energy level personality with a high stress tolerance.
•Must be a self-managed, self-starter capable of balancing multiple tasks and proactively prioritizing work under challenging conditions with minimal supervision.
•Must have a high level of customer service, and effective oral and written communication skills.
•Strong business acumen, listening, and problem-solving skills.
•Must have a strong understanding of documentation required for the loan closing process and a working knowledge of the lending regulatory arena.
•Proficient in the use of office productivity technology, such as Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint.
•Working knowledge of Reg B, Reg Z, FCRA, and Banking Regulations as they apply to consumer lending.
•Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or related field.
•3+ years’ experience in lending or related field and knowledge of branch or call center environment.
•2+ years’ sales and cross selling experience.
•1+ years’ experience auditing and/or viewing financial loan disclosure documentation.
•Experience in credit union or financial services industry.
•Knowledge of Delta Community Credit Union procedures and policies.
