If so, we are seeking a Supply Planning Manager, who will lead a team of individuals who are focused on the inventory planning process. Drive improved processes, reduced costs, and optimized inventory while meeting or exceeding the quality, delivery, and service expectations of Berlin. Packaging and its Customers.

Key Accountabilities:

Manage & Develop Others

• Recruit and hire employees who meet the dynamic needs of Berlin Packaging.
• Coach and mentor employees with a focus on enhancing their overall skills.
• Provide clear direction along with a level of accountability which generates superior results.
• Promote a continuous improvement mode of operation; readily challenge all employees to take individual and group performance to the next level.

Spend Analysis & Cost Management

• Identify areas of opportunity and coach Supply Planners regarding cost reduction and process efficiencies.
• Partner to negotiate costs, terms, and other contractual issues with suppliers relative to inventory positioning and timelines.
• Manage transportation costs and focus on reducing total cost of ownership.

Purchase Order & Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies which maximize cash flow and customer satisfaction.
• Use innovation and implement new processes and procedures that are focused on improving efficiencies across the organization.
• Benchmark process opportunities across all Berlin Packaging regions as well as external industries.

Supplier Development & Performance Improvement

• Effectively manage supplier performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Routinely meet with current suppliers and drive process solutions which will improve performance throughout the supply chain.
• Focus on developing supplier relationships which offer win-win results.
• Develop supply strategies which allow Berlin Packaging to gain a competitive edge in the marketplace.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• 7+ years of Procurement and Supply Chain experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
• CPSM certification preferred, but not required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills along with the ability to conduct results-based negotiations.
• Ability to develop and lead a team of individuals. Excellent time management skills required along with the ability to manage multiple tasks with a focus on output and results.
• Provide leadership consistent with Berlin’s culture and business plans.
• Ability to proactively address issues and deploy effective problem-solving techniques that address root cause issues.
• Strong decision-maker with the ability to consider all alternatives and options and quickly implement appropriates action.
