BRUSH Power Generation enhances Baker Hughes portfolio of electromechanical equipment, including electric generators, synchronous condensers, electric motors, and associated control power management systems.

Partner with the best

You will be responsible for executing, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards product requirement.

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing a technical understanding within the GMS engineering group and provide customer support in the subject areas of rotordynamics, vibration, bearings and static/dynamic balancing
  • Providing reverse engineering of existing components using various measuring methods to model the component in Solidworks.
  • Preparing and present technical data to internal and external customers including invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business
  • Assuring proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Have a technical degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited school and 3+ years proven experience working within the Power Generation or similar industries.
  • Have experience with creation of manufacturing drawings and specifications utilizing Solidworks or similar program.
  • Have good interpersonal skills, inclusive working style and able to effectively interface with all levels of internal organization and external customers
