Job Description
BAE Systems under the High-Performance Computing Modernization Program Integrated Technical Services Contract II (HITS-U II) directly supports the DoD's High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) mission. We deliver world-class commercial, high-end, high-performance computational capabilities to the Department of Defense's (DoD's) Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) community at the DoD Supercomputing Resource Centers (DSRCs) Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills.

Currently we are seeking Entry Level Computer Operators to execute and monitor a range of scheduled computer related activities in support of the Army Research Lab DSRC located at the Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland.

The selected applicant will be trained on how to use basic Linux commands, how to execute scripts, and monitor computer/facility issues for errors. When errors are identified the selected applicate will follow procedures to resolve and/or contact the primary POC to address the issue. In addition, the selected applicate will monitor and resolve common day to day problems, familiarize themselves with normal errors and resolutions, follow internal operating procedures when machine stoppage or error conditions occur, refer issues to other staff as appropriate. Apply standard operating and/or corrective procedures.


Required Education, Experience, & Skills
A successful candidate should be customer service oriented, attentive to detail, self-motivated and work well in teams. You will also need to be willing to work alternate shifts if needed to support the 7x24 environment.


Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Prior experience with Linux systems and work within a 24x7 NOC environment.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $38060 - $60940

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
