EXCITING DESIGN RESEARCHER OPPORTUNITY

Full Relocation Provided

Our client is hiring for a Principal Design Research at Walmart.  This Lead Design Researcher position will conduct UX research that influences their product roadmaps and informs design. This role represents the perspective of their users to help understand their needs, motivations and pain points.  The role responsibilities include the ability to run workshops, conduct generative and evaluative research, story-telling and presenting deliverables to senior executives.

You'll sweep us off our feet if you have…

  • A strong working knowledge and experience using multiple generative and evaluative research methods, how to apply them in a fast-moving organization. You have experience mentoring or coaching other researchers on the use of these methods.

  • Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Psychology, Social Sciences, Market Research, or a related field with 5-7 years of job experience.

  • Adaptability and a growth-mindset, seeking out and welcoming feedback from senior leaders and managers.

  • Ability to produce great work in short timeframes, multi-task across different projects and platforms and adapt to the ever-changing priorities of the business.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Pulling from a broad toolkit of research methods, including live studies, un-moderated studies, field studies, participatory design, heuristic evaluations, and remote usability testing.

  • Prioritizing key initiatives across stakeholder areas for actionable results.

  • Solving complex problems with curiosity and openness.

  • Proactively soliciting and leveraging competitive research, data, and analytics to inform design and business strategy.

  • Thinking holistically through the entire ecosystem of end users and competitors.

  • Switching gears from deep design thinking to rapid-fire execution.

  • Having exceptional communication & presentation skills, both written and verbal.
