Job Description:

If you are interested please apply with resume to [email protected].We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Juniper switches, and Aruba wireless solutions, and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our enterprise network infrastructure. This role demands a strong understanding of network protocols, security principles, and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network solutions using Palo Alto firewalls, Juniper switches, and Aruba wireless systems.
- Lead the planning and implementation of network-related projects, ensuring they meet business objectives and technical requirements.
- Monitor and optimize network performance, identifying potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues, providing timely resolutions to minimize downtime.
- Implement and enforce network security policies, including firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network infrastructure aligns with organizational needs and strategic goals.
- Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and standards.
- Mentor junior network engineers and provide technical leadership within the team.
- Stay current with the latest developments in network technologies and recommend upgrades, as necessary.
- Join a team of three network engineers to be available in an on-call rotation (rotation is every fourth week)
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering, with a focus on enterprise environments.
- Proven expertise in Palo Alto firewalls (PCNSE certification is a plus).
- Strong experience with Juniper switches (JNCIP or JNCIE certification is highly desirable).
- Proficiency with Aruba wireless technologies (ACMP or CWNA certification is a plus).
- Deep understanding of networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and MPLS.
- Experience with VPN, QoS, and traffic shaping technologies.
- Solid knowledge of network security best practices.
- Ability to design and implement network redundancy and failover solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a team environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with cloud networking solutions (AWS) and cloud gateways (Aviatrix).
- Understanding of automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
- Experience with VoIP and Unified Communications solutions.
