As a Security Professional - Campus Patrol in Thiells, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more .
As an unarmed patrol officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and promote a secure environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining open communication with the school community. This position may require driving as part of your patrol duties. Pay Rate: $21.44 - $22.44 / Hour
Job Schedule:
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors by carrying out security procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within the educational environment.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with conflict resolution and reporting as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the school buildings and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
- Communicate with school administration and local authorities as required, following established protocols for reporting security-related incidents.
- Assist in implementing emergency procedures, such as lockdowns or evacuations, when necessary.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of daily activities, observations, and any security-related incidents encountered during patrols.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 1 year of security experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver's license is required and must meet Allied Universal Driver Policy requirements.
- New York Security Professional Guard Card required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
