Genesys is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Zuora Platform Owner to ensure platform governance, develop integration guidelines, enforce best practices, and drive automation for CI/CD deployment. This role requires a deep understanding of Zuora’s platform and architecture, alongside expertise in managing integrations and automating deployment pipelines. The Zuora Platform Owner will work closely with business and technical teams to ensure seamless, scalable, and secure platform operations.

Location: Fully remote across the US

What this role isn’t:

This isn’t a role where you are expected to manage the entire development lifecycle single-handedly. You will not be required to lead large teams but will guide platform-related decisions and governance while coordinating with technical and business stakeholders.

What you’ll bring to the table:

In this role, you will need to bring a strong background in platform governance and system integrations, coupled with experience in CI/CD pipeline automation and DevOps best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and enforce guidelines that ensure platform stability and efficiency.

Some details about what you’ll do:

Platform Governance:

  • Establish and maintain governance standards for the Zuora platform, ensuring alignment with organizational and regulatory requirements.

  • Define and implement best practices for system configuration, security protocols, and data integrity.

  • Ensure platform scalability, performance, and overall health through monitoring and proactive issue resolution.

Integration Guidelines and Best Practices:

  • Define integration standards and architectural guidelines for connecting Zuora with other enterprise systems.

  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders to manage API integrations and ensure consistent data flow across platforms.

  • Provide guidance on data modeling, workflows, and system configurations for effective cross-system communication.

CI/CD Deployment Automation:

  • Implement and maintain continuous integration and deployment pipelines for Zuora.

  • Work with DevOps teams to automate deployment processes, ensuring quick and reliable release cycles.

  • Monitor deployments, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of services during releases.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with engineering, product, and business teams to understand platform requirements and align platform enhancements with business goals.

  • Provide technical leadership in platform-related discussions and decision-making processes.

  • Train and mentor internal teams on Zuora platform capabilities, integration approaches, and deployment best practices.

Requirements:

Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience working with Zuora or similar subscription management platforms.

  • Proven experience in platform governance, integration management, and CI/CD pipeline automation.

Technical Expertise:

  • Hands-on experience with integration technologies (APIs, webhooks, middleware) and data exchange formats (JSON, XML).

  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including continuous integration, deployment automation, and monitoring.

  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and tools used for automated deployment and monitoring (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

Methodologies:

  • Solid understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and experience working in agile teams.

  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and governance frameworks.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage stakeholder relationships and collaborate across teams.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic, actionable recommendations.
