The Vice President of Land Development (VPLD) leads, directs and supervises all land acquisition and development activities, including public fundraising efforts related to development projects to fulfill the strategic goals of the organization. The VPLD participates in several cross-divisional working groups that create and adapt policy and procedures to meet the demands of a dynamic real estate and public funding environment and serves on the Executive Leadership Team.

Qualifications to be the Vice President of Land Development:

Education, credentials, and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience in business management, finance, real estate and/or community development.
  • Eight years’ experience in business/ project management, finance, real estate and/or community development.
  • Five years supervisory experience.
  • Three years’ experience, knowledge and understanding of the real estate development process.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record and personal vehicle for work related travel in the service area.
  • Personal auto insurance compliant with TCHFH Driver’s Policy.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensures information is complete and accurate and follows up to ensure that agreements and commitments have been fulfilled.
  • Initiative: Identifies opportunities and issues, and proactively acts and follows through on work activities to capitalize or resolve them. 
  • Mortgage Lending: Provides borrowers with access to financing for real estate transactions while managing risk and ensuring compliance with lending regulations.
  • Process Management: Implements effective and efficient processes to get things done, with a focus on continuous improvements. 
  • Utilizing Software: Demonstrates proficiency with enterprise solutions such as Client Relationship Management, Project Management, General Ledger systems or Design software
