Job DutiesAbstracts and submits all required data elements into Collector system as required by PTSF.Communicates information to Trauma Team regarding trauma audit filters or identified care issues.Identifies all trauma patients admitted to LVH and encountered by trauma service and flags these patients in EPIC system.Compiles data following NTDS and NTRACS data requirement guidelines.Completes abstracts of all data from admission to discharge on assigned charts.Collects patient records (pre and post-discharge) for review, analysis, and entry of diagnosis into the trauma registry database.Minimum QualificationsHigh School Diploma/GED 1 year Health care-related field. or1 year Abstracting clinical information into database. or1 year Billing or Coding certificate or degree, in progress or complete Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and pathophysiology.
