Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to join our PDI Horizon team. In this role, you will lead and oversee complex technical projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery within scope and budget. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, hands-on experience in software development, and exceptional project management skills. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project success while ensuring alignment with business goals.
Technical Expertise:
Experience working with Software Engineering teams, with prior hands-on coding experience.
Familiarity with Retail business operations and projects.
Experience managing projects related to POS systems, Accounting, Networking, and Cloud technologies.
Strong track record in budget planning and financial management for technical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Define and document project scope, objectives, and deliverables for complex, cross-functional initiatives.
Collaborate with technical teams and leadership to align on timelines, track progress, and ensure successful project execution.
Identify and engage cross-functional stakeholders, assigning workstream owners and managing dependencies.
Work closely with business stakeholders to establish project budgets and resource plans, ensuring financial tracking and adherence.
Monitor and manage project risks, escalating issues when necessary and developing mitigation strategies.
Ensure project visibility and transparency through structured reporting on milestones, budget, risks, and issues.
Drive results by identifying cost-saving opportunities and process efficiencies throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead effective meetings and facilitate collaboration across teams of varying sizes.
Leadership & Communication:
Influence stakeholders across organizational levels, including VP/SVP leadership, through strong relationship-building.
Communicate project updates effectively, tailoring messaging to different audiences and simplifying complex topics when needed
Education & Experience:
4-5 Years of Project Management Experience
Bachelors Degree Required
Acquisition experience (nice to have)
