Job Description
We are Looking for a Lead Project Manager to join our team. You will be responsible for managing one or more program workstreams and interact closely with internal staff and business partners to effectively help us develop and deliver project solutions. The Workstream Project Manager is responsible for directing the workstream to deliver on defined scope. The Project Manager ensures the workstream is organized, executed, and completed in accordance with program standards and timelines. Responsibilities include:
- Responsible for developing and maintaining the workstream project plan
- Provides support to Business Leader
- Facilitates workstream team meetings
- Drives workstream to achieve project business objectives and value
- Works hand in hand with the program manager and other workstream project managers to ensure plans align and are being delivered on time.
- Provides status reporting, RAID log management, and follows all other program governance processes
- Effectively communicate (written and verbal) to all levels including executive management
- Contribute ideas and participate in brain storming sessions from project conception through implementation
- Be proactive, adaptive, and responsive to change.
- Work with technical resources to ensure IT design and technical documents effectively meet business/operational needs based on business requirements
- Track, update, and escalate project issues, risks and gaps, and action items while driving identification of priority and project or program impacts
- Develop and execute project plans, conduct follow ups and update project documentation in accordance with established processes
- Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT), 3rd party integration testing, and production validation
- Drive post implementation tasks, archive documents, participate in lessons learned meetings, project rollout and post- implementation product results tracking
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5+ years experience as a Technical Project Manager
- Experience in the Wealth space
- Experience managing project budgets
- Proficiency managing cross functional teams
- A strong understanding of business procedures, financial services, and technical terminology
- Possess strong organization and planning skills with an ability to quickly adapt to change
- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills, must behave as an owner
- Self-driven, highly motivated, and comfortable interacting at various levels within and outside of the organization
- Clearly understands waterfall and agile practices and principles
- Familiar with Slack, Teams, JIRA/Confluence, Miro and/or SharePoint
- Familiar with MS Project, MS PPT, Word, Excel or similar tools
- Previous experience as Agile Coach, SME, Product Owner or Scrum Master, a plus
- Experience working with Wealth third party vendors (Pershing, Global +, Charles River, Envestnet, etc.)
