SUMMARY
Under general supervision as a Team Lead, coordinates the daily support operations of one or more clinical areas or groups. Primarily acts as a nonexempt clinical support staff (for example Patient Service Representative, Practice Support Assistant, etc) and performs the full duties associated with this role. Is a resource for other support staff and may fill in for staff as needed to provide appropriate coverage of the department. Takes lead role in ensuring department workflow is of a high quality.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalency certificate (e.g. GED, HiSET, TASC Test) from an accredited institution or governmental unit required.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) is strongly preferred if the job is in a patient-facing clinical capacity.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required based on specialty.
EXPERIENCE
- Skills and experience typically acquired through 2-3 years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting facility.
- In depth knowledge of specialty’s area required.
SKILLS
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and medical professionals required.
- Has sound judgment with the ability to work and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Has demonstrated leadership potential.
