We'reseeking an early careerSystem Integration (SIE) or Mechanical Engineerto gain firsthand experience in commissioning, troubleshooting and testing mechanical and electromechanical systems. Supporting our amazing Friction Stir Welding machines, this role will tackle unique engineering challenges and help PAR deliver premier engineering support that is unparalleled in our industry. At PAR, we're delivering advanced automation, controls systems and AI solutions on a variety of industrial machinery.
Success Criteria:
As a continuous learner, you will spend the first 3-6 months gaining an in-depth understanding of the SIE role, then applying your knowledge through hands-on experience at both PAR and customer sites.This role will help you take theory to practice as you dive in with our engineering teams to learn how we design, build and support an endless variety of cutting-edge technology.
Bringing your curious mind, strong technical skills and ability to troubleshoot and solve complex engineering challenges around the world will help you hit the ground running. Some of key responsibilities of the role include:
* Proactively working in a team environment with other mechanical, controls, and software engineers to support the design, assembly, integration, check-out, and testing of machines and systems
* Working with our customers to understand their technical specifications and participating in design review
* Supporting fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specification
* Providing on-site integration, testing, and field service (repair) support (travel required)
* Developing mechanical automation designs from customer specifications

* Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (with an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred)
* Ability to set your own course without oversight
* High attention to detail and ownership of work
* Strong organizational, communication and troubleshooting skills
* Interest in electromechanical systems and a desire to learn
* Experience with Friction Stir Welding machines or process (preferred)
* Ability to travel up to 75% (after first 6-12 months of onsite training)
