Full Job Description

As Sustainability Associate, responsibilities include working as a member of the national Sustainability Team to actively support in the development, implementation, communication and continuous improvement of company sustainability initiatives. Collaborates with all Lincoln disciplines to deliver best-in-class sustainability deliverables in a timely, efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in the development, implementation, and continuous oversight of client-specific sustainability programs. Including management of client-specific sustainability playbooks and the initiatives, processes, and targets identified within.
  • Interface with Lincoln leadership regionally and nationally to report on corporate sustainability initiatives and client-specific program status.
  • Interface with Property Management and Engineering teams for communication, data collection, documentation, initiative tracking, tenant information, building information, budgets, costs, vendors, and other metrics dependent on client/corporate initiative.
  • Supports in overseeing national roll outs of company-standardized sustainability processes, procedures, and policies to align services, such as project management and property management, with sustainable frameworks of organizations such as USGBC and IWBI as appropriate. Capability to be onsite teams’ direct point of contact for corporate certification roll outs and continued implementation and oversight.
  • Interface with Project Managers for communication, data collection, initiative tracking, project information, documentation, and other metrics dependent on client/corporate initiative.
  • Support in overseeing national roll out of construction/development company sustainability initiatives, including but not limited to carbon accounting, sustainability surveys, data tracking, certification programs.
  • Ensure Sustainability data integrity and documentation is accurate.
  • Sufficiently manage company sustainability initiative rolls out, including communication plan, determination of timeline, accountability of time to complete, data collection methodology, data analysis and status reports.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary projects, programs and initiatives.
  • Aggregating data, writing reports, creating decks to summarize Sustainability initiatives implemented at individual properties and portfolios.
  • Collect, track, aggregate, analyze Sustainability data collected, primarily utility data.
  • Develop presentations for multiple audiences that communicate Sustainability data and high-level programs.
  • Generates meeting minutes in an organized manner for internal team use and distribution to Lincoln teams and/or external teams as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with consultants, third parties, vendors to complete Sustainability tasks, initiatives – such as certifications, award submissions, events, etc.
  • Investigates innovative technology to support Lincoln’s Sustainability programs.
  • Research Sustainability trends and market news to provide informative insight to national team.
  • Proactively manage project-related issues.
  • Demonstrate a proactive focus on project deliverables in a timely, efficient manner.
  • Establish, cultivate, and maintain effective client and vendor relationships.
  • Facilitates an inviting work environment with the sustainability team and all Lincoln team members.
  • Career Development Expectations:
  • Earn LEED AP and WELL AP and/or Fitwel Ambassador accreditation within 12-months of start date
  • Be an active member, participating in regional and national accredited third-party organizations, specifically USGBC and IWBI.

Desired Education, Experience, Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required
  • Four years of experience in the commercial real estate – Project Management, Property Management and/or Sustainability
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong interpersonal skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail

This position is 100% in-office. The role requires working in office during standard business hours. Remote work or telecommuting is not an option for this position.
