Surgical Scheduler - Ophthalmology
Fairfax, VA
Pay From: $20 per hour
MUST:
2+ years of experience as a surgical scheduler in a busy medical office
Must have Surgical Scheduling
Ophthalmology experience preferred
Must have a great attitude and be reliable
EMR experience is a must
Must have experience with Microsoft Outlook
Must possess sound judgment, good communication and business acumen skills
Must be able to multi-task
DUTIES:
The Surgical Scheduler will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Assisting with the day-to-day operations of office
Enhancing patients/customers experience by providing clerical/technical support
Greeting patients at front desk reception area, ensuring that the patient has signed in and has all necessary and up to date insurance information
Properly handling incoming calls; take complete messages with accurate information using message intake form
Scheduling patient appointments by adhering to scheduling guidelines
Verifying appointments, print schedules, update patient information as necessary
Review schedules for cancellations/No show appointments
