Job Summary

The Strategy Analyst position is responsible for efforts to strategically manage the portfolio of products across all states.

The Analyst is responsible for analyzing and recommending improvements and enhancements for products across all market segments in all states. This responsibility will entail analyzing the competitive, consumer, and employer and broker dynamics in each market by gathering information on products and strategies of key competitors, industry trends and other market data. Based on this research, the Analyst will synthesize the data and develop recommendations.

The Analyst will work on several projects simultaneously and will be expected to develop conclusions based on data findings under guidance from the Manager. The Analyst will also create project plans and ensure that the product management decisions are implemented in an efficient and timely manner.

  • Use primary and secondary research and internal data to analyze market and product data across all Medicare market segments in all states to develop strategies to enhance existing products and capabilities
  • Find publicly available data to assess industry trends and market environment
  • Develop approach for managing portfolio of products, including issue resolution and plan benefit related regulatory filings
  • Develop presentation materials to communicate key findings and recommendations for product portfolio and capability enhancements

Qualifications – what you need to perform the job

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience: 0-2 years’ experience in health care and analytic roles; knowledge of Medicare health insurance products strongly preferred

Skill Requirements:

  • Ability to find and synthesize market data
  • Financial acumen and quantitative analysis capabilities
  • Results orientation with willingness to manage strategic assessments
  • Excellent oral and written communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to interact and develop relationships with stakeholders in multiple departments

Working Conditions and Additional Requirement:

While this role is of an individual contributor, excellent teamwork and collaboration skills are required to effectively interact with senior leadership, cross-functional department leads, and other corporate strategy team members.
