The Driskill

Built in 1886 as a showpiece for Cattle Baron, Jesse Driskill, the Driskill is a legend in Texas hospitality. The hotel is known throughout Austin for its elite level of service and luxurious accommodations. We are in search of a detail-oriented leader to join our team as Stewarding Supervisor.

Stewards are primarily responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all hotel china, silverware, and cookware. The Stewarding Supervisor is an integral part of the Food & Beverage leadership team as the Stewarding department provides support for and works closely with our Culinary and Food and Beverage teams. This person supervises the day-to-day operation of the hotel's stewarding department by leading a team of Stewards/Dishwashers, assisting with training, coaching, payroll, ordering, etc.

This person must have good communication skills and the ability to lift, pull and push a moderate amount of weight. The Stewarding Supervisor will report to and receive guidance from our Executive Chef/Sous Chefs.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior Stewarding and/or hotel experience is a plus
• Food Handler Certification is required
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Refined communication skills. Strong written and verbal English communication is required
• Additional languages are beneficial.
• A passion for hospitality and desire to be a leader
• Ability to work a flexible schedule
