The Contracts Management, Sr. candidate will provide critical support to the LM Space Globally Responsive Space (Ground Segment) Portfolio Contracts Organization, supporting DoD and other Government Customers. Serve as a key business advisor and partner with business development, programs, functional counterparts and Portfolio leadership to drive creative and competitive contracting approaches. Responsible for initiating and implementing contractual strategies ensure all contractual requirements are met during program execution. In addition, the individual will establish and maintain favorable relations and communication with customer representatives to ensure timely contract execution, interpretation and risk analysis of contractual provisions/requirements.
This role will offer you the following daily challenges:
* Perform contracts management functions across the spectrum of contracts lifecycle, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administer
* Support a portfolio of new business captures and existing FAR/DFARS based contracts and Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs).
* Identify risks and contract issues and effectively address them in a timely manner.
* Exercise initiative, participate in strategy development, and work in an independent manner.
* Collaborate with Space and Corporate support functions.
* Work directly with multiple customers developing critical relationships on various contracts (CPFF, CPIF, CPAF, T&M & FFP).
* Support internal and external customer reviews.
* Provide business advice and guidance to and coordinate with other functions including program management, finance, legal, subcontracts, business development, engineering, human resources, accounting, and compliance to effectively manage a breadth of responsibilities, including contract solicitations / capture, negotiations, and contract terms, including fulfillment of related obligations.
* Serve as authorized, empowered representative for the Company as interface with Customer representatives responsible for building effective relationships and managing contracts to support business goals and objectives.
* Coordinate solutions to contractual issues and Customer concerns related to Company performance.
* Ensure contractual compliance with all laws and regulations, and adherence to Delegation of Authority and approval requirements for proposals and contractual actions.
* Ensure final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations.
* Collect contractual data and compiles reports in response to Corporate and Business Area requests.
Located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Denver, Colorado
Basic Qualifications:
* Prior experience in contracts including the ability to analyze contract terms and risks to mitigate financial impacts.
* You will need to be a US Citizen, and currently possess a TOP SECRET clearance, to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
* Creative contracting experiences in contract management.
* Demonstrated ability to interface at senior levels of management both within the company and as the external company representative with our customer(s) representing contracts or program issues professionally and clearly.
* Candidate should be a self-starter, requiring little to no direct supervision, and has the ability to comprehend complex financial and business concepts.
* Experience working with virtual teams, including upper management.
* Excellent at networking and building relationships.
* NCMA certification is highly desired.
* Proven exceptional strategic communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
* Demonstrated experience with FAR/DFARS based contracts, including cost type and fixed price arrangements or commercial.
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure
* Active TS/SCI clearance.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $91,300 - $175,000. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $105,000 - $197,800.
