Communications Manager, Recruitment Communications
This is a Salaried Consultant position with Aquent Studios, imbedded with our well known Tech/AI client. You will support a fast-paced, dynamic team and contribute to a high profile initiative.
The candidate will preferably be in the SF Bay area and will mainly work remotely but will go into the office periodically. Candidates in Chicago, Austin and Atlanta can also be considered for this position.

The Recruiting Communications team has an opening for a Communications Manager. We're looking for a Communications Manager who is also a talented writer who can develop, manage, and execute a global communications strategy for the Recruiting team. The role touches both internal and external audiences including candidates, employees, and senior leaders, helping Recruiting hire top talent for our tech client. This individual should have exceptional interpersonal skills, writing skills, and experience bringing people together to deliver a strategy. This role reports to the Director, Employee Success Strategic Initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Candidate Communications: Develop strategies and messaging to ensure that our candidate communications are both persuasive and consistent with our intended voice and style.
- Content creation: Curate and develop recruiting communications and content to support various Recruiting teams. Content assets include but are not limited to in-person talk tracks, FAQs, emails, Slack messages, internal blog posts, and hiring sites. Influence partners and stakeholders as needed to ensure communications are compelling and aligned with not only our vision and values, but also our voice and tone.
- Communications Strategy: Ensure consistent implementation of our brand and style guidelines. Ensure messaging is aligned, consistent, and strategic across all communications.
- Executive Communications: Support the Recruiting leadership team with thought leadership, recruiting narratives, and management of team-wide events such as All Calls, etc.
- Communications partner to recruiting leaders: Provide strategic guidance for the Recruiting Leadership Team, supporting with the execution of their respective internal communication activities.
- Project Management: Proven ability to multi-task, manage multiple projects for various clients, and work with project management to meet deadlines.
- Partnerships: Maintain strong, proactive relationships with members of the Global Recruiting team in order to align on communications messaging.
- Process Building: Stand up global, repeatable processes and tools to support communications for key recruiting programs.
- Operations and reporting: Work effectively with the broader Employee Success team through shared processes to track campaign results and work with our team and business partners to apply key learnings to future plans.
Experience Required
- Experience will be evaluated based on alignment to the Values & Behaviors for the role (e.g. extracurricular leadership roles, military experience, volunteer work, etc.).
- Experience with corporate marketing and branding, and a clear understanding of marketing strategies and concepts.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications or a related discipline; Experience in a high tech or other fast-paced, disruptive global environment a plus.
- Experience building global communication plans to support business priorities.
- Established portfolio that displays client relationships and compelling and effective writing.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams while maintaining focus on outcomes and/or removing barriers.
- Experience in managing a team and attaining results through teamwork.
- Proven track record developing and executing creative, thoughtful internal communications plans.
- Exposure to managing key stakeholder relationships and working across an organization to bring people together to achieve goals.
- Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to quickly grasp information across a variety of disciplines and create clear communications.
- Ability to lead, manage, and execute multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented and nimble environment across the globe.
- A strategic thinker with proven ability to work cross-functionally, exerting influence without direct authority.
- Dynamic, charismatic, confident personality with ability to successfully drive projects with minimal guidance.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and re-prioritize on the fly.
