The Jira Administrator will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our Jira environment to support Agile methodologies and drive business analytics initiatives. This role involves configuring and customizing Jira to meet business requirements, ensuring smooth Agile processes, and leveraging data to provide actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Jira Administration:
    • Manage and maintain Jira software and Confluence environments.
    • Configure Jira projects, workflows, permissions, and schemes to align with business needs.
    • Perform routine system audits and maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Agile Change Management:
    • Support Agile teams by customizing Jira to facilitate Scrum, Kanban, and other Agile methodologies.
    • Implement and manage Agile tools and templates within Jira to enhance team collaboration and productivity.
    • Provide training and support to Agile teams on Jira best practices and usage.
  3. Business Analytics and Metrics:
    • Develop and implement dashboards, reports, and queries to monitor project performance and key metrics.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for process improvements.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and track KPIs, ensuring alignment with business goals.
  4. Collaboration and Support:
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, PMO, and business units, to gather requirements and provide Jira solutions.
    • Offer technical support and troubleshooting assistance to Jira users.
    • Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to enhance user proficiency and adoption of Jira.
  5. Continuous Improvement:
    • Stay updated with the latest Jira features, plugins, and industry trends.
    • Identify and implement enhancements to improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of Jira.
    • Lead or participate in Jira upgrade projects, ensuring minimal disruption to users.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Jira Administrator or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Proficiency in creating and managing Jira workflows, schemes, and dashboards.
  • Experience with Jira plugins and integrations (e.g., ScriptRunner, Zephyr).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Jira Administrator Certification (preferred).

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $102,300 - $148,350, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody's also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
