The Senior Manager of Global Mobility manages all aspects of the global mobility program, ensuring seamless relocation and assignment management for employees across various international locations. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of global mobility trends and best practices.
Main Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the global mobility strategy in alignment with organizational objectives, emphasizing talent acquisition, employee retention, and workforce optimization to meet both short-term and long-term business goals.
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end global mobility process, including relocation services, immigration procedures, business entity setups, and providing continuous support to expatriates, ensuring a seamless and positive employee experience throughout their assignments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, legal, finance, and other departments to identify and address mobility needs, ensuring smooth and efficient transitions for employees relocating internationally.
- Lead the global mobility budget management, ensuring cost-effectiveness while maintaining high service standards and meeting the financial goals of the organization.
- Ensure global mobility compliance by managing legal and regulatory requirements, seeking legal counsel as necessary to mitigate risks and maintain adherence to international labor laws.
- Oversee vendor management and selection, ensuring that all third-party mobility providers are aligned with company policies and procedures and deliver consistent, high-quality service to employees.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve centralized global mobility programs, policies, and procedures, adapting to changes in international regulations, business needs, and environmental factors.
- Identify and develop high-potential employees for international assignments and future leadership roles, promoting mobility as a key element of career development and succession planning.
- Provide executive-level support to ensure a high-quality experience for employees throughout their mobility journey, including pre-deployment, in-country support, and repatriation.
- Design and execute comprehensive pre-deployment programs, including cultural training, language lessons, legal and immigration assistance, and health and safety guidance to equip employees for success abroad.
- Develop and manage repatriation programs, ensuring a smooth transition for employees returning from assignments, focusing on reintegration, career planning, and addressing any logistical needs to maintain retention and career satisfaction.
Job Requirement and Qualification
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
Work Experience: 7+ years of experience in global mobility, expatriate management, or international HR
- Advanced knowledge of immigration policies, tax regulations, and labor laws
- Experience in designing and implementing employee mobility programs
- Experience in working with multi-level cross functional teams identifying improvement opportunities for a positive employee experience
Language Skills: English
Travel Requirements: 10-15%
