Role Summary:

As a Sr. Analytics Engineer on our Analytics Engineering and Data Warehousing team, you will be responsible for developing the core service that provides data to the entire enterprise. You will be responsible for building the data models that form the basis of our most important operational and strategic data-driven decisions.

Working closely with our finance teams, you will build and help maintain a data warehouse platform that provides timely, accurate, and reliable data that determines performance KPIs and commissions for thousands of employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with data analytic teams and business leaders to understand their goals, initiatives, and the data solutions they need.
  • Help design, build, and maintain an enterprise data warehouse platform with its associated data models and data transformation pipelines.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to provide timely, accurate, & reliable data.
  • Help in the implementation of a high-performing data warehouse platform (Snowflake) servicing thousands of users and a broad set of use cases.
  • Constantly evaluate and optimize deployment of data architecture to achieve greater efficiency and reliability.

Required Qualifications:

  • Hard minimum of 3 years of data modeling and data warehousing development experience (SSIS, dbt, Matillion, or similar).
  • Expert in SQL and the principles of cloud warehouse design.
  • 2+ years of professional experience specifically with Snowflake, Redshift, or Data Factory, or BigQuery. Snowflake preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders and engineers to focus on the highest impact opportunities. You exhibit great judgment and sharp business instincts that allow you to differentiate essential versus nice-to-have and to make good choices about trade-offs.

Required Education:

  • BA/BS or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, other technical field, or relevant work experience.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • Experience with SSIS.
  • Knowledgeable in scripting languages (python, .net, R, etc).

WORKING CONDITIONS:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
