As a Product Support Engineer, you will lead the development of sustaining product service operational processes and documentation for all domestic and international customers inside and outside the Philips organization and support new product development activities as needed.
Your role:
- Generating Service Manuals and other procedures to provide process details for the internal and external servicing of our devices. Training internal and external customers’ trainees and ensuring they understand the processes/process changes being introduced.
- Initiating and participating in Design for Manufacturability, Assembly and Test (DFMAT) and Design for Serviceability (DFS) activities.
- Driving corrective actions with appropriate and detailed follow up and leading, developing and executing design and process validation activities, including statistical analysis for service changes, as well as the introduction of new assembly/test equipment when required.
- Defining and managing qualification activities in support of any new and/or existing service processes within Philips Service Center facilities, in addition to external service locations as required. This process includes the creation and maintenance of a Master Validation Plan to define the necessary process validation and equipment qualification activities for all related service processes.
- Collaborating with cross-functional groups such as Service Engineering, New Product Development Engineering, Product Industrialization Engineering, Quality, Project Management, Regulatory, Supplier Quality, Operations, and Purchasing, to develop new processes and transition new designs into service and manufacturing.
You're the right fit if:
- You’ve acquired 4+ years of experience in manufacturing or service engineering, including process and equipment improvement, validation, and documentation.
- Your skills include experience successfully leading projects and leading/working with others in cross functional teams (exposure to working with 3rd parties or service providers – a plus)
- You have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or industrial engineering (preferred), other majors considered, or equivalent experience.
- You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position.
- You’re a strong analytical and problem-solver, and the ability to provide technical leadership in ambiguous situations. Travel up to 15% may be required.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position. For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Murrysville, PA.
