Our Company's Animal Health division is looking for a highly skilled and experienced candidate to manage procurement activities related to Animal Health Manufacturing Division externalization and technical transfers for our large molecule platform. The Senior Specialist will join an enthusiastic team and will primarily focus on sourcing (Large Molecule/Biologics CMOs), innovations, negotiation, implementation of contracts, supplier management and other procurement related transfer activities to support our Company Animal Health. The job role is challenging, diverse and complex; requiring the ideal candidate to have a high-level of flexibility, dynamic and strong project management skills.

Main responsibilities

Your main tasks will be, but not limited to:

  • Drives the development and implementation of sourcing strategies as well as cost reduction initiatives.

  • Manages the development and management of Supplier Performance/Relationship Management.

  • Key account manager or "virtual plant manager" to strategic external manufacturers.

  • Manage contracting strategy and implementation of.

  • Performing cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking for the business

  • Develop a broad understanding of stakeholder and business needs and priorities.

  • Support as a sourcing expert in cross functional and risk mitigation teams.

  • Identify and promote improvement opportunities together with suppliers.

  • Negotiating with suppliers to secure advantageous terms

  • Building and maintaining long-term relationships with Suppliers.

  • Estimating risks and applying risk minimizing techniques.

  • Procurement support for product transfer activities (internal and external).

  • Location for this position will be based in the USA (preferred locations Upper Gwynedd, PA USA or Rahway, NJ USA). Other USA locations will be considered.

  • The position is hybrid that requires working on site minimal 3 days a week.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or other related fields.

  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience (i.e.: procurement, R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, engineering).

  • Initiative-taker, adaptive person and solid collaborator with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Strong acumen towards value creation and cost control at third parties.

  • Experienced in Biotechnology operations or governance of outsourcing projects.

  • Understanding global supply chain in a global environment and apply these principles into external manufacturing.

  • Ability to managing multiple simultaneous and complex projects requiring frequent communication, organizing/time management and critical thinking skills ensuring deliverables are on-time.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, knowledge of ERP systems (Ariba is a plus); as well as ability to quickly learn new software systems.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected US salary range:

$91,600.00 - $144,100.00
