Position Overview

The Senior Specialist (Biologics External Manufacturing Operations) will be accountable for working with an Operations Lead in a Focus Factory team to effectively manage a number of critical Biologics supply partners. Key elements of this role include managing team/partner interactions, planning manufacturing campaign readiness activities, managing transactions within SAP, issuing purchase orders and controlling invoices, coordinating distribution and logistics for bulk drug substance and sample shipments, tracking operations performance metrics, and support the Operations Lead in maintaining and controlling the budget for the assigned site(s). The ideal candidate will be able to travel to partner sites to effectively manage the partnership and associated activities and will also have effective communication skills and tools for remote support to the partnerships/virtual sites. Key skills required for this role include:

  • Comprehensive understanding of technical and operational aspects of Vaccine and Biological products

  • Project management and oversight capabilities

  • Supply chain planning familiarity/experience, including distribution and logistics

  • Knowledge/understanding of supply chain logistics

  • Familiarity with regulatory filing activities/requirements

  • Lean/Six sigma methodology

  • Experience operational excellent and continuous improvement initiatives

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications:

  • Required Education: Bachelor's of Science or Engineering, Biotechnology preferred

  • Required Experience: Minimum five (5) years of Biologics Technical or Operations experience; Biologics, Vaccines, or Small Molecules project management experience.

  • Experience working with external partners/vendors

  • Preferred Experience: In depth working experience with Excel and SAP, Supply Chain planning, MPS/Lean experience, Six sigma black belt

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence. The Company is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this job in certain states and cities within the United States. Final determinations with respect to salary will take into account a number of factors, which may include, but not be limited to the primary work location and the chosen candidate's relevant skills, experience, and education.

Expected US salary range:

$91,600.00 - $144,100.00
