Senior Software Engineer wanted by a wireless & broadcast communications provider in Woburn, MA.
Design and implement the Company’s software and underlying data technologies, be the technical developer for projects and maintenance, and provide guidance to Software Engineers. Partner cross-functionally to set the standards for designing and developing software and also review the work of Software Engineers. Analyze requirements, propose software solutions, develop, unit test, and maintain key system features or custom solutions according to specifications.. Provide hands-on functional and technical expertise within assigned business areas in analyzing, designing, developing, and implementing business applications. Work with others to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology, and evaluate technical feasibility. Author and update all technical documents relative to the design, delivery, and operation readiness of, and/or the custom application for, the Development team site. Foster and maintain good relationships with customers and IT team members to meet expected customer service levels, including Service Level Agreements for production tickets.
Requires: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology Management, Electronics and Communication Engineering or a related field, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or similar roles. Will also accept a Master’s degree in stated fields plus 3 years of experience in job offered or similar roles. Also requires 3 years of experience using the following (which may have been gained concurrently):
- Visual Studio, TFS, SharePoint, and SQL Server
- HTML, DHTML, XML, XSL, XSLT, Style sheets, and JavaScript on Windows platforms
- ASP.NET, C#, VB.NET, ASP, .NET Framework, and Web Services
- SOAP, REST, HTTPS, FTP, and SMTP
- SQL and PL/SQL programming language
- Oracle Data Integrator, Oracle Workflow and MuleSoft
- AWS, XML Publisher, JDeveloper, Docker, and Discoverer tools
- J2EE application server
- JSP, JavaServer Faces, ADF Oracle Technology Stack, and STRUTS
- Building web-based applications using Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, and Hibernate.
