The Senior UltraCare Guide supports patients at every step of the treatment journey regarding access, reimbursement, and logistics. The Sr. UCG listens to and counsels patients and medical professionals, interpreting their specific needs and providing friendly, professional and well-informed answers to their questions. Reporting to the Sr. Director of Patient Support, the individual works with patients, physician offices, partners and insurance companies to case manage all steps required to gain access to therapy.
Work Model:
Flex: This role will typically require onsite work 2-3 days each week, or more depending on business needs. In many locations, the business will set certain days each week that Flex employees are required to be onsite.
Responsibilities:
- Provide best in class support across multiple patient services programs
- Works closely with patient/family and medical offices to case manage all steps required to gain access to therapy and counsel on reimbursement options
- Trouble shoot and resolve ongoing reimbursement issues (step edits, insurance changes, recertification)
- Acts as the liaison with medical offices and Specialty Pharmacies to assist with education on the reimbursement process
- Responsible for maintaining case history for all assigned patients in the CRM system
- Maintain adherence support by regular interactions with patient/families
- Assist director in additional duties including but not limited to training, education, mentoring new hires and assisting with preparation of internal meetings
- Assist director in developing and managing patient engagement initiatives
- Travel to internal meetings and medical offices as necessary
- Partner with internal business partners to manage all patient cases within their assigned territories
Requirements:
- 5 to 7 years of related experience, including some prior case management experience
- Ability to travel 25%
- Prior reimbursement experience with ability to communicate complex reimbursement scenarios to patients and medical professionals
- Ability to problem solve complex reimbursement scenarios and maintain strong emotional resilience to remain professional during difficult patient or medical calls
- BA/BS in the life sciences or communications preferred
- Reliable, conscientious and responsible and independently able to manage time and balance priorities
- Individual must possess extraordinary positive attitude, exceptional listening skills, and strong verbal and written communication skills
- Verbal and written fluency in Spanish #LI-Hybrid
The typical annual salary range for this full-time position is listed below. This range reflects the characteristics of the job, such as required skills and qualifications and is based on the office location noted in this job posting. The range may also be adjusted based on applicant's geographic location.
This position is eligible for annual bonus and equity incentives. Actual individual pay is determined by demonstrated experience and internal equity alignment.
