​Fossil Group is searching for an Assistant Brand Manager (Sr. Merchant level) to support the Michael Kors jewelry business. The Assistant Brand Manager partners with the Director of Brand Management in the development of business plans, sales objectives, profit plans and operations for Michael Kors jewelry. This person will be accountable for managing and driving business functionality needs of our subsidiaries and licensors to meet sales, marketing, and distribution goals on a domestic and international level. This star candidate will have a strong knowledge of assortment planning, marketing strategies, and product development with outstanding communication skills, ability to multitask, strong prioritization skills, and strong analytical skills.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Presentation/Sales: lead sales meetings & provide global guidance; develop guidelines for global wholesale execution & e-commerce standards; optimize global Michael Kors boutique and e-commerce 
  • Inventory Management/Planning: global assortment management; partner with planning teams on immediate inventory needs and allocation; conduct conference calls with planning and supply chain teams to monitor flow of inventory and timeliness of new product introductions
  • Marketing: partner with the marketing team on all operational marketing activities (fixtures, packaging, visual merchandising, etc.)
  • Product: Analyze and provide feedback on retail sales and shipping to drive new seasonal development; lead product introductions substantiated by data and customer feedback, develop seasonal line plans and manage lifecycle of full assortment, manage global pricing with a focus on meeting margin objectives;responsible for competitive market analysis to provide regional product assortments
  • Packaging: Partner with NPI to support packaging needs and fixture development, Job order entry of non-product inventory management 
  • License Reports: manage global quarterly sales, inventory, customer and marketing reports submission/analysis with Licensing Team
  • Cross functional partnerships: interface with subsidiaries, licensors, senior management, design and development, marketing and planning
  • Management/leadership: coaching and developing brand coordinator to success

Your Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising preferred or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7+ years of brand, planning, or buying experience
  • Minimum 3+ years of account management responsibility
  • Proven track record coaching and developing direct reports
  • Professional presentation & communication skills
  • Success in building collaborative partnerships
  • Experience driving business forward
  • Retail selling analysis experience required
  • Proficient Microsoft office with Excel, Google Enterprise products
  • SAP experience is a plus
