Where will you work: Onsite at Four Corners, Bradley, FL

The Senior Geotechnical Construction Specialist will supervise the construction of various civil related construction projects in support of mining operations including, but not limited to, clay settling areas, water control and conveyance structures, infrastructure, and equipment crossings of public right of ways and waterways, storm water control systems, roadways, and NPDES outfalls. Supervisory responsibilities include ensuring contractor efficiency, safety, quality control, procurement activities, and compliance with environmental standards and permit requirements. Responsible for coordination and communication of construction activities between contractors, operations, third-party engineers, and internal functional groups.

What will you do?

  • Provide field construction supervision of large-scale maintenance and repair activities for existing clay settling area and water management assets.
  • Provide field supervision for various site investigation activities associated with engineering design and evaluation studies.
  • Provide vacation relief for perimeter and dam inspectors.
  • Provide field construction supervision for major civil related construction projects in support of mining operations.
  • Miscellaneous job-related duties.

What do you need for this role?

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • 10+ years of Civil Construction
  • 10+ Years of Mining operations experience.
  • Ability to effectively plan, communicate, and coordinate multi-party and multi-disciplinary work.
  • Knowledge of surveying and ability to interpret construction plans.
  • Working knowledge of geotechnical testing procedures, stormwater management, best management practices, construction equipment, and earthwork.
  • Knowledge of MSHA regulations and safety inspection techniques.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
